Ohio Republican Tom Noe used state money to buy stock in an online gambling firm Games Inc.

At least $100,000 of Ohio's money was invested in the firm. Tom Noe personally invested over $180,000 of his own money in the stock.

Games Inc. CEO Roger Ach II has sought public contracts with state lotteries to allow people to buy lottery tickets online using its software. Mr. Noe has also been quoted as a proponent of online lottery sales, stating "In Ohio, we can buy our license plates online and even file a lawsuit online … why not make lottery online more convenient and accessible to create more educational funding dollars for community colleges and job retraining?”
