A charity poker tournament held in Ventura county raised about $10,000 for a foundation created in the memory of an Army flight medic. Michael DiRaimondo was 22 when he was killed in Fallujah, Iraq on Jan 8th of 2004.
The foundation created in his memory has raised more than $130,000 over the past year, and "will offer scholarships so that other aspiring paramedics can get the training to achieve their dreams". More than 100 players attended the tournament, with prizes of hotel packages for trips to places like Vegas and Hawaii. L.A.
